COVID-19

What safety measures are in place for Covid-19?

Safety is our number one priority for all guests attending Immersive Frida Kahlo in Toronto. Having welcomed over 200,000 patrons since Immersive ArtSpace opened in Toronto, we’re proud to be operating an experience where it is safe to go. Per the announcement from the Ontario Government on March 9, 2022, effective March 21, 2022 masks and face coverings are no longer mandatory in our exhibit space. Physical distancing is encouraged in our public spaces, especially in lines and in restrooms.

To ensure your safety, and based on guidance from the Province of Ontario and City of Toronto, and other government agencies, our exhibition will operate with enhanced safety measures including:

- Touchless hand sanitization stations placed throughout the venue
- Contactless payment encouraged throughout the venue
- Floor markings throughout the venue to assist in the six-foot social distancing limit
- Enhanced, regular cleaning throughout the day on each floor
- Contact tracing for all staff and guests

I Bought My Tickets But...

I Need To Reschedule

To reschedule your tickets, please visit our Change of Date Request page.

Dates and tickets are subject to availability. Requests must be made a minimum of 48 hours prior to your scheduled attendance time.

Please note, an $8 per ticket fee will apply for a change of date request for all tickets. If you would like to move from an Off Peak date to a Peak date if there is a price difference that will be included on your invoice. Child tickets are exempt from the $8 per ticket fee, and must be accompanied by an adult ticket.

Last-minute change of date requests will not be honoured except in exceptional circumstances.

I Want To Upgrade Or Downgrade

Please contact our box office to upgrade your tickets prior to arrival.

Unfortunately, we cannot downgrade tickets and we don’t know why you would want to!

I Want To Change The Name On Them

The name on your tickets is for buyer and COVID tracing info only, and there is no change of name required.Anyone who has access to the tickets can use them. The buyer is responsible for tracking COVID-19 information within their party.

I Never Received Them

If you have purchased tickets to Immersive Frida Kahlo directly through our website, but have not yet received your tickets, please use our Ticket Resend Tool to have this rectified.

We encourage you to leave valuables, large bags, and other personal belongings at home. For the safety of our visitors and the collection, all bags entering or leaving the exhibit, including purses, are subject to inspection.

Backpacks and duffle bags are not permitted in the exhibit.

Accessibilty

Exhibit
The entrance, lobby, and gallery are entirely wheelchair accessible. The only exception is a raised platform in the gallery that offers an overhead perspective and is only accessible by a flight of 17 stairs. This isn’t critical to the overall immersive experience and will not prevent you from making your way through the gallery.

Washrooms
There are no barriers to the gallery washrooms however the men’s washroom in the gallery does not have an accessible stall (the women’s washroom does).

There are accessible stalls in both men’s and women’s exit-hallway washrooms. These can be used without having to exit the exhibit.

Sensory Advisory
This exhibition contains bright lights that may cause discomfort for people with photosensitivity. Viewer discretion is advised.

Part of the immersive experience is the music which can at times be loud. This may cause discomfort for people with sensitive hearing. Earplugs are available upon request.

If you need to leave the gallery, you are welcome to re-enter through the lobby after taking a break.
Immersive Frida Kahlo contains artwork and animation that some viewers may find sensitive. Viewer discretion is advised.

Masks
Masks are mandatory for everyone regardless of vaccination status. An exception can be made for persons who are reasonably accommodated by not wearing one in accordance with Toronto By-Law 541-2020 and arranged in advance by contacting ticketing.toronto@bobmarleyexp.com.

Arrangements must be made with Immersive Frida Kahlo prior to attending the exhibit. Please email us if you require additional accommodations not mentioned on this list.

Seating & Mobility Aids
Wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters are all permitted. We have one first-come, first-serve wheelchair on-site for those who need it, and a number of folding chairs that can be brought into the exhibit for folks who have a hard time standing for extended periods of time.

Service Animals
Service animals are permitted, but please be advised that the volume and visuals may be uncomfortable for animals. For
non-traditional service animals please contact us at ticketing.toronto@bobmarleyexp.com.

Access 2
Patrons supporting persons with disabilities receive free admission to the exhibit and do not require a ticket for entry. At no time will a patron with a disability who is accompanied by a support person be prevented from having access to his or her support person while on the exhibition premises.

The exhibit does not have dedicated onsite parking, but there are a number of public parking lots nearby.

The closest lots are across the street on Queens Quay and just north of 1 Yonge on Yonge Street (pricing may vary). There is a shoulder outside the front entrance for drop-offs close to ramp access.

Transit
The closest subway station to 1 Yonge Street is Union Station (a 10-minute walk).

The closest streetcar stops to 1 Yonge Street are:

- Yonge Street at Queens Quay East north side
- Queens Quay West at Bay Street east side

How long should I plan on being at the show?

40-50 minutes with a regular admission ticket. Packages may vary.

Is parking available?

Pay and Display parking is available near by.  There are two blue badge disabled parking bays to the rear of the Gallery which can be accessed via Turk’s Row off Lower Sloane Street. Booking well in advance is essential. To reserve a disabled parking bay or a wheelchair please telephone 0207 811 3077.

How to get to the Saatchi?

Underground:
The gallery is 3-4 minutes walk from Sloane Square Underground (District and Circle lines), 10-12 minutes’ walk from Victoria (Victoria, District & Circle lines) and 16 minutes’ walk from South Kensington Underground (circle & district lines).

Bus:
11,19,22,49,211,319 (King’s Road)11,137,211 (Lower Sloane Street)

Overground Train:
The nearest mainline railway station is Victoria.It is 10-12 minutes’ walk from the gallery.

Is the show wheelchair accessible?

Yes

Do you have wheelchairs to rent?

The Saatchi does have a few wheelchairs on site that may be used by visitors. Subject to availability, these are issued on a first-come-first serve basis to those in need or allocated to those using the disabled parking bays if the user requires one.

Can I bring my service animal?

Registered assistance dogs are permitted.

Can I bring a stroller?

Regular strollers may be brought but must either be taken around the exhibition or left at the check-in desk at the owner’s own risk. No oversize strollers.

Can I bring a camera?

Yes. We permit photography but no flash photography.

Will there be a gift shop?

Yes, the exhibition shop.

Can I bring in food or beverages?

No. We do permit bottled water but no food and no other drinks.

Children to the age of five go free.

Who qualifies for a student ticket?

Anyone enrolled in full-time or part-time education. A valid student ID is required and will be checked on arrival to the gallery.

Can I gift tickets under my name?

As long as the tickets are valid for the correct date and time, this is not a problem.
